Is this narration authentic?
Ibrahim An Nakha’i (rahimahullah) said: “They [The Sahabah radiyallahu ‘anhum] used to trim the hair [from the area below the chin] and trim from the sides [of the beard, the hair exceeding one fist].”
Answer
Imam Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah (rahimahullah) has recorded this statement of Ibrahim An Nakha’i (rahimahullah). The narrators are all senior Muhaddithun and reliable.
