Is this Hadith authentic?
Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Time will pass rapidly, good deeds will decrease, and miserliness will be thrown (in the hearts of people)…”
Answer
Imam Bukhari (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith. It is therefore authentic.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reported that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Time will pass rapidly, [good] deeds will decrease and miserliness will be cast [in the hearts]…”

Disclaimer: In principle, the signs of Qiyamah are ambiguous and nuanced and only Allah Ta’ala Knows their precise timing and exact application. One should certainly take heed from such Hadiths and signs, despite their application to specific events being open to interpretation.
