Question
Is this Hadith authentic?
“Recite the Quran, for on the Day of Qiyamah it will come as an intercessor for those who recite it.”
Answer
Imam Muslim (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith. The Hadith is therefore authentic.
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah Al Bahili (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reported that he heard Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) say, “Recite the Quran, for it will come on the Day of Qiyamah as an intercessor for those who recited it…”
(Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 804)
