What is the source of the following Istighfar?
أستغفر الله العظيم وأتوب إليه من كل ذنب توبة عبد ظالم لا يملك لنفسه ضرا ولا نفعا ولا موتا ولا حياة ولا نشورا
اللهم إني أستغفرك من كل ذنب تبت إليك منه ثم عدت فيه
وأستغفرك من كل ما وعدتك به من نفسي ثم لم أوف لك به
وأستغفرك من كل ذنب أذنبته في ضياء النهار أو سواد الليل أو سرا أو علانية أو ملأ أو خلاء
Answer
I have not come across this particular wording in this sequence in a Hadith. Nevertheless, the meaning is good, and it may be recited without deeming it a Sunnah form of Istighfar.
