Question
Is the following Hadith authentic?
I am the first who will open the gates of Jannah, a woman will try to enter together with me or just after me. I will ask her, ‘What do you want and who are you’? She will say, ‘I am a woman who took care of my orphans’
Answer
Imam Abu Ya’la (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu).
(Musnad Abu Ya’la, Hadith: 6651)
Hafiz Ibn Hajar (rahimahullah) has declared the chain of narrators as sound (wa ruwatuhu la ba’ sa bihim)
