A Statement of Imam Bukhari (rahimahullah) Regarding the Rafidah

Question

Where did Imam Bukhari (rahimahullah) say this?
“I see no difference between praying a Rafidi and praying behind a Jew.”

Answer

Imam Bukhari (rahimahullah) mentioned this in his book Khalqu Af’alil ‘Ibad. He writes:

“I [see no difference] between performing Salah behind a Jahmi or a Rafidi [extremist Shi’i] and performing Salah behind the Jews and Christians. They should not be greeted with salam, their sick should not be visited, marriages should not be contracted with them, their testimony should not be accepted, and their slaughtered animals should not be eaten.”

(Khalqu Af’alil ‘Ibad, pg. 536)

Note: Kindly consult a Mufti/Darul Ifta for a fatwa on this matter.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
