Question
What is the authenticity of the following form of durud to read thrice after reciting Quran:
اللهم صل على سيدنا محمد وآله وصحبه وسلم بعدد ما فى جميع القرآن حرفا حرفا وبعدد كل حرف الفا الفا
Answer
I have not come across this form of durud in any primary Hadith source. These words appear in non-primary sources.
(Refer: Tafsir Ruhul Bayan, vol. 7, pg. 234)
Nevertheless, the meaning is correct, and this salutation may be recited without deeming it a Sunnah form of salutation after completing the recitation of the Quran.
