Is this Hadith authentic?
من أرضى الله بسخط الناس كفاه الله، ومن أسخط الله برضا الناس وكله الله إلى الناس
Answer
Imam Ibn Hibban (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith.
Sayyidah ‘Aishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) reported that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Whoever pleases Allah by incurring the displeasure of people, Allah will suffice him [in his affairs]. And whoever displeases Allah by seeking to please people, Allah will leave him to the people [to deal with his affairs].”
