I am searching for a reference for this Hadith:
«الحمى كير من كير جهنم فنحوها عنكم بالماء البارد»
Answer
Imam Ibn Majah (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reported that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Fever is [from] one of the bellows of Jahannam, so avert it from yourself with cool water.”
(Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith: 3475)
‘Allamah Busiri (rahimahullah) has declared the Hadith authentic (sahih).

(٣٤٧٥) – حدثنا أبو سلمة يحيى بن خلف ، حدثنا عبد الأعلى، عن سعيد، عن قتادة، عن الحسن، عن أبي هريرة، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: «الحمى كير من كير جهنم، فنحوها عنكم بالماء البارد».
زوائد ابن ماجه:
(١١٥٢) – حدثنا أبو سلمة بن يحيى بن خلف ثنا عبد الأعلى عن سعيد عن قتادة عن الحسن عن أبي هريرة عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: «الحمى كير من كير جهنم فنحوها عنكم بالماء البارد» قلت أصله في الصحيحين وغيرهما من حديث رافع بن خديج وأسماء بنت أبي بكر الصديق وفي مسلم وابن ماجه من حديث عائشة وابن عمر وإسناد أبي هريرة صحيح رجاله ثقات.
