Question
What is the reference for the following du’a to be recited after slaughtering:
اللّٰهُمَّ تَقَبَّلْهُ مِنِّي كَمَا تَقَبَّلْتَ مِنْ حَبِيْبِكَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّخَلِيْلِكَ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ عَلَيهِمَا الصَّلٰوةُ وَالسَّلامُ
Allahuma taqabalhu mini kama taqabalta min habibika Muhammadin wa khalilika Ibrahima ‘alayhimas salatu wa sallam

I haven’t seen this as a du’a in the popular Hadith books. It seems to be a suggested du’a formulated by the scholars. Imam Mawardi (rahimahullah) [demise: 450 A.H.] has written that a pious predecessor would recite the following:
اللّٰهُمَّ تَقَبَّلَ مِنِّي كَمَا تَقَبَّلْتَ مِنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلِكَ وَمُوسَى كَلِيمِكَ وَعِيسَى رُوحِكَ وَمُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَرَسُولِكَ
Transliteration: Allahumma taqabbal minni kama taqabbalta min Ibrahim khalilika wa Musa kalimika wa ‘Isa ruhika wa Muhammadin ‘abdika wa rasulika.
Translation: O Allah, accept from me just as You accepted from Ibrahim, Your close friend, Musa, the one You spoke to, ‘Isa, who was created by Your command, and Muhammad, Your servant and Messenger.

The wording is excellent and one may indeed recite it without attributing it to the sunnah.
