Question
Please provide the reference for the following du’a:
أَوْفَيْتَنِي أَوْفَى اللهُ بِكَ
Awfaytani awfa Allahu bika
Answer
This du’a was recited by a Sahabi (radiyallahu ‘anhu) when Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) paid him his due.
(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 2305)
The creditor is encouraged to recite this upon payment of the debt.
