Is there any mention in Hadith as to how many times Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) had cupping done?
Answer
It is quite apparent from the books of sirah, that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) had cupping done several times and on various limbs.
I have not come across a narration which mentions the exact number of times that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) underwent cupping.
There is however, clear mention of two Sahabah (radiyallahu ‘anhuma) that did cupping for Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam).
‘Allamah Salihi (rahimahullah) has cited narrations which name the two Sahabah who did cupping on Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) as: Abu Taybah and Abu Hind (radiyallahu ‘anhuma).
