Question
Please provide the reference for this narration:
When a man would ask Muhammad Ibn Sirin regarding a dream, he would say to him:
“Fear Allah in your wakefulness, and what you saw in your dream will not harm you.”
Answer
Imam Abu Nu’aym (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration.
Jarir ibn Hazim (rahimahullah) reported that when someone would ask Imam Muhammad ibn Sirin (rahimahullah) to interpret a [bad] dream, he would say, “Fear Allah while awake, and what you saw in your dream will not harm you.”

Imam Abu Nu’aym (rahimahullah) has also recorded that Imam Muhammad ibn Sirin (rahimahullah) said:
“When a servant fears Allah while awake, whatever he sees in a dream will not harm him.”
