Question
What is the reference for this narration and can it be quoted?
Sayyiduna ‘Ali (radiyallahu ‘anhu) narrated that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Talhah and Zubayr are my neighbours in Jannah”
Answer
Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration and has declared the Hadith weak.
(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 3741)
However, the Hadith is suitable to quote as is the case with Hadiths of this nature.

(٣٧٤١) – حدثنا أبو سعيد الأشج قال: حدثنا أبو عبد الرحمن بن منصور العنزي، عن عقبة بن علقمة اليشكري، قال: سمعت علي بن أبي طالب، قال: سمعت أذني من في رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وهو يقول: «طلحة والزبير جاراي في الجنة».
هذا حديث غريب لا نعرفه إلا من هذا الوجه.
