Is this a Hadith?
“Love your sons, for daughters love themselves”
Answer
‘Allamah Suyuti (rahimahullah) was asked regarding the authenticity of this narration. He replied, ‘This Hadith is unknown and I have not come across it in any book of Hadith’
(Al Hawi, vol. 1, pg. 429, Darul Fikr edition. Also see: Kashful Khafa, Hadith: 132)
The narration should not be quoted.

(١٣٢) – «أحبوا البنين؛ فإن البنات يحببن في أنفسهن أو بأنفسهن».
نقل ابن حجر الهيثمي في الفتاوى الحديثية عن الحافظ السيوطي أنه قال: هذا لا يعرف قال: ولم أقف عليه في شيء من كتب الحديث انتهى.
