Please provide the reference for the following du’a:
أَضْحَكَ اللهُ سِنَّكَ
Answer
This has been understood as a recital for when one sees his fellow muslim happy and is derived from the following narration:
Once Sayyiduna ‘Umar (radiyallahu ‘anhu) visited Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and noticed him smiling. Sayyiduna ‘Umar (radiyallahu ‘anhu) then said: ‘
أَضْحَكَ اللهُ سِنَّكَ
Ad-hakallahu Sinnak
May Allah Ta’ala keep you happy
(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 3683 and 6085)
