Question
Kindly provide a Hadith on the virtue of offering four Sunnah of Zuhr and four Sunnah of ‘Asr.
Answer
Sayyidah Ummu Habibah (radiyallahu ‘anha) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
“Whomsoever consistently offers four rak’ahs before Zuhr and four rak’ahs after Zuhr, Allah will protect him from Jahannam”
(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 427, 428 and Sunan Abi Dawud, Hadith: 1263. Declared authentic by Imam Tirmidhi)
